The Center for Disability Resources (CDR) offers captioning services to faculty and staff if they have students who are registered with CDR and are requesting captioning.
If a student is authorized for captioning or audio description, the student’s Access Coordinator will reach out to you. This information will also be in the student’s accommodation letter. If you need to make a request to have a video captioned, please contact the assigned Access Coordinator at least 14 business days in advance. Depending on the quality, length of video, etc., it may take longer than the specified time frame, but we will make every attempt to assist you with the captioning process in a timely fashion. Please be advised it is often difficult to obtain copyright clearance for materials provided via web link (URL). Materials provided as digital files and in physical formats, however, usually do not present a problem.
