Program Overview

The mission of OnTrack at SU is to engage students in a collaborative coaching model by addressing both academic and social-emotional readiness during their college transition.

Students meet regularly with a trained coach for support with:

  • Time Management
  • Organizational Skills
  • Self-advocacy
  • Developing Independence
  • Goal Setting
  • Self-Awareness
  • Building Social Connections
  • Decision Making
  • Connecting to Campus Resources

Any student in the program for the first year has the option to continue in the program for a second year. The goal is to continue to provide support while also increasing independence.

First year students: Second year students:
  • 2x weekly face-to-face meetings with their coach
  • Check-ins through text or email (determined by coach and student)

Program cost: $3,200 per semester

  • 1x weekly face-to-face meetings with their coach
  • Check-ins through text or email (determined by coach and student)

Program cost: $1,650 per semester

* For eligible students, financial aid may be available for the OnTrack program. This will be determined by the University’s Financial Office.

When we review the application and interview, OnTrack seeks students who are ready to openly communicate and actively engage with their coach. The OnTrack program emphasizes a growth mindset through coaching and collaboration. Students that are willing to self-reflect and commit to this process will find the most value in the program. It is important, before joining the program, students understand that this is a full-year commitment and strongly believe participating in OnTrack would be an integral part of their college transition.

Yes, SUNY-ESF students are welcome to participate in OnTrack. CDR supports ESF students with their disability-related supports and accommodations.
