How to Apply

Student applications for OnTrack are reviewed after the following four components have been completed:

The completed application and relevant documentation must be sent via email to ontrack@syr.edu.

Application Process & Guidelines

Students can submit their OnTrack application before finding out if they have been accepted to SU since they are separate application processes.

Before setting up the interview, students must:

  • Attend an information session with an OnTrack coach
  • Submit the OnTrack application form

OnTrack staff will start reaching out to students sometime in early February to set-up their one-on-one interview.

  • Students have the option to wait until they have received notification from the University on their acceptance before scheduling the OnTrack interview.

Once students have completed the interview, OnTrack staff can begin reviewing applications.

  • Staff evaluate the first wave of students to determine acceptance into the OnTrack Program. (Continues on a rolling basis).

Regular decision students must notify us of their acceptance into the University. OnTrack does not have access to University Acceptance Status.

Students must inform the OnTrack Program:

  • if they have been accepted into the university AND if they intend on accepting their invitation to participate in the program.

If participating in the program influences your college choice, please reach out. We will inform you of your program status before you make your final decision.

  • Students who send in their OnTrack application by April 1, will be notified if they have been accepted into OnTrack by May 1.
  • Early decision students attending Syracuse will be notified following their evaluation if they have been accepted into OnTrack
