There is a broad spectrum of services and accommodations that may be provided for ESF and SU students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services and accommodations are provided in consultation with the student and may include, but are not limited to interpreter services, transliteration, and/or Computer Aided Realtime Translation (CART).
The provision of these services is an interactive process involving the student, the Access Coordinator, and service providers located in the Syracuse community. The resource pool of providers for some services is limited in the greater Syracuse area. Therefore, students are encouraged to give CDR as much advance notice of the need for these services as possible.
